The hammocks have become an integral part of my travel kit these days, problem is wherever I go my friends ask me where the hammock came from and I end up giving them away. Our hammock frame can be purchased seperately or with a blanket hammock. The hammock stand is made from tubular steel powdercoated to protect it from rust. It can take a maximum load of 120Kg. It can be adjusted to fit hammocks between 2.75m and 3.25m long.

Tips for Buying a Hammock Stand/Frame:
Hammock frames are a solution to the problem of how to hang a hammock when you don't have trees available in your garden. A hammock frame, also known as a hammock stand, allow you to relax in your garden. These hammock accessories can transform your sundeck or patio into a relaxing oasis.
Hammock stands come in a variety of types, sizes and materials, so you'll need to choose carefully to make sure you get the best one for your hammock and setting.

Here are a few tips for choosing the best hammock stands for your needs.

First measure your hammock from end to end and make a note of the length when searching the net for the ideal hammock frame.
Ideally you want to choose a hammock stand that is about 1 meter,(2 to 3 feet),longer than the length of your hammock.The extra distance can be bridged with some strong nautical rope attached to the ends of the hammock and the fixing points at the two ends of the hammock frame. This will allow you to adjust your hammock to the correct tautness making you most comfortable when lying in your hammock. 

It is important to realise all hammocks stretch about 10% when lied in, so if your hammock is 2.8 meters long, when you sit in it will become 3.2 meters long and the middle point will be lower than when not sat in. When searching the internet for the ideal hammock frame check to see if the supplier states what length hammock suits the frame offered.

What to Look for in a Hammock Stand:
Wood hammock stands are very popular, but the wood will weather and eventually rot if not treated, making it over time a more expensive option. Metal stands usually last longer and cost less, although they may not look as nice and can be difficult to transport. Some metal hammock stands come with wheels that make them easier to move.

Aside from size and material, some more common hammock stand features you may want to consider include:

Easy to assemble
Lightweight or including wheels for easy transport
Durable finish for outdoor use
Sturdy construction
Weight limit (Should be able to hold your weight + 20%)
Easily broken down for winter storage
